From the time we first arrived at the hotel we were made very welcome,we were shown to our room which was very clean and spacious. The food was excellent, particularily the breakfast. The staff were always friendly and there to help if required. We would return to this hotel again if needed to stay in bournemouth.

There was nothing I didnt like about this hotel.

Main reason for going away was for a rest, which we got. Hotel and room was very clean and the staff where accommodating. Had our evening meal at the hotel on the first night and the food was good and the staff where happy to provide any requests. Stayed in a superior room which was large and airy and plainly decorated. A nice big bed and the tv was of a reasonable size which was a bonus. The only one disappointment was the size of the bath, unfortunately not a rolltop one. I am a small person myself (just short of 5'5 and weighing in at just under 8 stone) but I found the bath very small and had to perform some impressive gynastics in order to wash myself, I also managed to grate off most of the skin from my elbows and behind from the none slip bath coating in the process, not to worry though as I am sure it will grow back again. Apart from that a very pleasant stay and would definately consider staying again or recommending to a friend.

Nice large rooms, and had a good evening dinner. Very friendly/helpfull staff.

      On-site parking was small.

It was perfect, everybody so friendly and helpful. Nice breakfasts, delicious dinners. The room was big enough clean and tidy. WiFi was all the time accessible. Location close to the sea. Area very quiet. There is a place to park a car

Lovely room (no. 4) - decoration, comfort, cleanliness & TV + good food and friendly staff

Shower needed more power & basin too small

The size of the bed was fabtastic, everyone was really friendly and fod was yummy.

Only slight issue was the lock in the door was difficult to unlock and lock and sometimes took 10 mins to get the key out of the lock.

The small, but welcome touches of mineral water, chocolates and toiletries in the room. Easy reach of central Bournemouth. Had a very good room rate but would not pay the full price as quoted on the web page.

It is an old property, full of character, history and period features. With improvement and modernisation, it could be stunning. Flat screen tv is all very well in a room but plumbing and higher standard fittings need to take a priority. Breakfast could be improved.

The room was lovely and clean, well modernised and plenty of space.

The bath was slightly small and the grouting was coming up in between the tiles on the bathroom floor.

The staff were very welcoming and the service and food were great! The room was spacious and very cosy and definatley had a homely feel which we liked. The hotel is just minutes from the beach and about 10-15 mins from the pier. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will visit again.

Quiet location and easy access to town and beach.

Bath was too small in the superior room booked. Car parking limited.

    • Older travelers

The food was good. Location was good. When I booked I did not realise that a standard room does not have a king size bed and enough room to live in for a week. The noise from the saniflo was very bad and the extractor fan.

Cleanliness in the bathroom poor .No drawers for your clothes.

Another superb stay, very friendly welcome, sampled the set menu and it was delicious and great value. Not sure what made our room a Superior one, but was of a high standard, let down a little by a tatty side table, even a cover would help, also a shower hook and curtain so that those that prefer a shower, would have that option. Excellent choice at breakfast of cooked and continental, loved the selection of toasts on the rack at your table. Perfectly located for the beach and a small walk into town, they offered to let us park the car for a few hours even though we had checked out, a gesture we really appreciated although declined. Chose East Cliff over the Ramada Encore as wanted the personal experience. Looking forward to our next stay.

Everything from the welcome to the great brakfast the next day, we only stayed one night but are already planning a return visit.

The manager was aware of our booking and not concerned at our late 10pm arrival.

The hotel feels in need of considerable renovation. The bathroom in particular looked and felt very dated. Window frames rotting away or rusting. A huge bed was a definite plus and selection of chocolates on arrival in the room. Location quiet until 8am when roadworks started up outside which cannot be avoided. We did not eat at the hotel apart from breakfast which was very average ... why is it that so many hotels in the UK cannot show some flair at the table in the morning other than the basic cereals/bacon etc. Even a selection of cooked meats and cheese would be easy to arrange rather than what appears to be the cheapest cuts of bacon and sausages? Not very impressive to see the tables in the dining room propped up with pieces of card.
